Armaghan Jahangiri is an Associate Attorney within the firm’s immigration law practice. Ms. Jahangiri has significant experience in business immigration matters including various temporary visas (such as H-1B and L-1) as well as employment based permanent residence (EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3). She regularly assists international companies employing foreign workers in the Informational Technology (IT) and related industries. Ms. Jahangiri is well versed in other areas of U.S. immigration law including family-based immigration and proceedings before the Immigration Court and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
After graduating law school, Ms. Jahangiri worked as a law fellow at the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project (DCVLP), a non-profit devoted to providing legal services to individuals in the District of Columbia. During her fellowship at DCVLP, Ms. Jahangiri advocated on behalf of her clients in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on urgent domestic violence, domestic relations, and guardian ad-litem matters. Ms. Jahangiri also appeared in Virginia Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts to assist children in obtaining factual findings in support of eligibility for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
Ms. Jahangiri received her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011 from Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in International Studies, with a concentration on Middle Eastern Studies.
